Why Period Guard?

When a line has to break mid-sentence, ElevenLabs notices the missing end punctuation and adds its own period — those are the stray dots that show up before lowercase words in the next subtitle. With Period Guard on, we append ,, (or your marker) to any line that ends mid-clause; ElevenLabs reads it as a short pause instead. After exporting, open the file and find-and-replace ,, with nothing — the audio stays intact.

ElevenLabs Subtitle Repair

ElevenLabs splits subtitle blocks that run past its character limit, so your carefully chosen line breaks come back broken. Paste the lines you originally intended and the SRT ElevenLabs produced — the split blocks are merged back into your intended lines, timestamps stay accurate, and everything snaps to the frame grid.

What Clean does
  • Drops a trailing period when the next line continues in lowercase — the sentence wasn't actually finished.
  • Merges short trailing lines into the previous subtitle, extending its timing to cover both.
  • Re-wraps long lines to fit the width you calibrate. The top line fills first; the rest flows below.
  • Snaps end times to your frame rate so no gap forms between subtitles.
  • Leaves the final subtitle's end time as-is.
  • Collapses four or more dots down to a single ellipsis (...).
Chunk a script

Paste a long script and split it into copy-ready chunks sized for ElevenLabs — broken only at natural sentence (or clause) boundaries, so no word or sentence is ever cut mid-way.

Why SRTisan exists

You gave the AI your script.
Are you sure you got it back?

If you make voiceover videos, you already know the quiet problem: modern AI tools don't just read your text — they touch it. A model tightening a script, a text-to-speech engine reshaping a line, a translation step dropping a clause it decided you didn't need. Usually it's small. Sometimes it changes the meaning. And it's rarely consistent twice in a row. When you're producing at volume, you can't stand over every line to check.

We built SRTisan because we were living inside that problem — cleaning up ElevenLabs voiceover output and wrestling SRT subtitle files by hand, one faceless video at a time. So we made three small, careful tools and put them in one place. The first splits your translated text into clean, well-sized lines before it ever reaches your voiceover engine. The second repairs the damage ElevenLabs does when it breaks your carefully chosen line splits to fit its own character limits — restoring your intended lines with their real timestamps intact. The third cleans the .srt that comes out at the end — stray periods, orphaned words, broken timing — so your subtitles read like a person made them.

The important part: there's no AI in the critical path. SRTisan does the boring, exact work with plain, deterministic rules and checks every character it touches, so what goes in comes back out. That reliability is what lets it scale subtitle localization and faceless video production without adding risk — in our own pipeline it cut manual cleanup enough to lift throughput by up to 60%.

Three small tools, doing one honest thing: protecting the words you already wrote.

Privacy

Your files stay on your device. That's the whole policy.

Your files and text

Every SRTisan tool runs entirely in your browser. Your subtitle files, scripts, and text are processed on your own device using client-side code. Nothing is uploaded to a server. Nothing is stored. Nothing is sent anywhere. We never see your content, and we have no way to access it — because it never leaves your machine.

Contact form

If you choose to send us a message through the contact form, your name, email address, and message are submitted through Web3Forms, a form delivery service. Web3Forms sends that information to our email inbox and does not store submissions long-term. We use your email only to reply to your message. We don't add you to any mailing list, and we don't share your contact information with anyone.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which tools are used. This collects general usage data like page views and button clicks — not personal information. No cookies are used for tracking. We cannot identify individual visitors from this data.

No cookies, no tracking, no ads

SRTisan does not use cookies for tracking, does not run advertising, and does not share data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we'll update it here. But given that the tools run in your browser and we don't collect data, there isn't much to change.
